About Yuan Rung
Established in 2007, Yuan Rung Hospital has consistently earned excellent hospital accreditations and received numerous Symbol of National Quality (SNQ) endorsements for its high safety and quality standards in healthcare provision.
The Yuan Rung Medical System (YRMS) was established in Changhua County, which has a population of 1.28 million in central Taiwan. The Yuan Rung System consists of three medical facilities: the 200-bed Yuan Rung Hospital, the 206-bed Yuan Sheng Branch Hospital, and the upcoming Yuan Rung General Hospital.
The Yuan Rung General Hospital will be fully operational in 2026, increasing the total number of beds at YRMS to 1,200. This will position YRMS to become the largest medical care provider in southern Changhua County. In recent years, YRMS has successfully recruited outstanding medical staff, acquired advanced medical equipment, and transformed itself into an acute care facility known throughout central Taiwan for the quality of its cardiology and acute care services.

Since 2007, Dr. Ko-Shih Chang, Superintendent of YRMS, has transformed the 200-bed Yuan Rung Hospital into a high-quality provider of emergency and intensive care services.
Yuan Rung Hospital is widely recognized for its professionalism and quality service, and has made significant contributions to community healthcare, resulting in an ever-increasing number of patients as its reputation grows. In October 2016, YRMS opened its 206-bed Yuan Sheng Branch to expand its scope of services.
YRMS plans to open the 800-bed Yuan Rung General Hospital in 2026.
By 2026, YRMS's bed capacity is expected to increase to 1,200.
Yuan Rung Medical System currently has approximately 640 employees and plans to expand to 2,000 employees in the future.
YRMS currently employs 80 full-time and part-time physicians in 21 departments, including Cardiology, Thoracic Medicine, Neurology, Gastroenterology, Metabolism, Nephrology, General Surgery, Cardiac Surgery, Urology, Plastic Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Orthopedics, Rehabilitation, Family Medicine, Physical and Mental Medicine, Hyperbaric Oxygen and Wound Treatment Center, Dentistry, Chinese Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Anesthesiology, Radiology, etc.

Yuan Rung Hospital was founded on June 6, 1977, with Dr. Chang Ke-Shi serving as the general director. In 2008, the hospital was the only area hospital to receive a top rating in hospital evaluations among more than 30 hospitals in Changhua County. In 2014, the hospital received international medical accreditation and responded to the national medical diplomacy policy by opening the door to the international medical market.
Dr. Chang believes that the foundation for international medical care lies in having international-level medical experts, service processes, and medical equipment. Yuan Rung Hospital has made good use of its own high-quality resources, not only employing clinical doctors with half of them holding medical doctoral degrees but also committing to investing in the construction of a high-quality medical service environment.
